People often ask "What is a highlight of your trip?" It is difficult to pick any single highlight, but for me the highlights revolve around two things: getting away from people and meeting people. Getting away from people involves immersing ourselves into the natural world, preferably with few people around. But a real highlight of our travels is the people we meet, both locals and other travelers.

This is a look back at the people we have befriended in Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia during the second part of our trip.
