I feel like I dropped into an episode of Anthony Bourdain

Had a great visit with my friends, Jesús and Silvia, this past weekend. We had a chance to catch up on what we've been doing, family, and a bit about work and forest genetics activities. Then Jesús and I went out to dinner at good local restaurant in Texcoco. The next day Jesús and I went to a small town in the mountains nearby to a place, el Pica, that has numerous food stands and other stands, and is popular with people from the city on the weekends. It was delicious. I had the best barbacoa that I have ever had. They roast a special breed of sheep in these deep pits for hours. We got some barbacoa, then went to some different stalls for tortillas, salsas, and quesadillas. I thought I was in an episode of Anthony Bordain's. So good. Such a treat.
